In fact, they were down so much that they ran out of data on their Verizon plan and spent the last 2 days of October with no internet access at all.Īs nothing at the office had changed in the previous 24 hours (from a network perspective) I believed that this was yet another Comcast outage and called them to set up an appointment for a tech to come out and take a look. But this means little with Comcast because we most certainly know of outages before they do, and we had been having so many problems with Comcast lately that the client was down 7 whole days last month because of verified Comcast issues. I logged into Comcast business to see if they were reporting any outages in the area, and they were not. So I checked on the machines remotely (a few of which I could still see via their Verizon Cradlepoint secondary WAN connection) but things were even slower than the 10Mbps expected through the cradlepoint and most of the PCs in the office could not be reached at all. Small business client with an ASUS RT-AC3200 router called me yesterday morning (just as I lay down to get some sleep after a 14 hours work day) because their internet connection was down.
